1 million players in three days
Within about three days of launch, Lagos Life passed one million players. Technext reported a live counter of roughly 1.17 million total players and 55,000 online on the morning of 5 October.
Technext compared this to ChatGPT, which took five days to reach the same mark. The argument: the real barrier for Nigerian games may have been access, not demand. A link that opens instantly beat the app-store download.
The same report noted Nigerian search interest in 'Lagos life' jumped by more than 5,000% week on week, with 'lagos life app' and 'lagos life game' among the fastest-rising searches.
